A Long-Needed Update

This page is LONG overdue for an update, don't you think? I have been working to make a Pokemon RPG, click here to see it. Please sign up! At the moment there are only two people signed up, who are Zaheera, a friend of mine, and me. Speaking of Zaheera, she's writing a story for me, The Tale of the Phoenix!You should check it out, Z is an exellent author! I also have an affiliate! LFL world is a pretty cool site, with lots of fanfics. Some of Z's work is up there too, so be sure to check it out! Anyways, I'm going to shut down this non-frames portion of my website as soon as Z finishes her fanfic. I wouldn't want to leave you guys hanging. Seeyas!

Cool New Text Program

Et Voila. Like it? I don't know how to do HTMLized downloads yet, but I'm looking! I'll try to have the program download up soon. I can't do music downloads cause they won't upload onto Freeservers, my host site. The files are just too BIG. Oh, and I am planning on giving this site a real name, not just "DarthPhoenix's Homepage". A REAL name. Like the "Pokemon American Games", or something. You guys could e-mail me suggestions for a name. K? Thanx! And I got an AWESOME code up in the code section. I got it from Marril of Frost Cave. Be sure to check them out; their site is cool!

TM/HM List and Virus Warning

Once again, the name gives away the entire update. I got a TM/HM list up, and the virus warning is as follows:

~~ ALERT! ALERT! Trend Micro, manufacturer of several security/virus related software packages has reported the development of a Pokemon virus/trojan. Dubbed POKEY.A, Pokey, WIN32/Pikachu.32768.Worm, or I-Worm.Pikachu, the trojan arrives in an E-mail with the Subject �Pikachu Pokemon� and the attachment �Pikachu icon�. Trend Micro has assigned the virus to the low risk category, however, if executed it will make modifications to your autoexec.bat, and will attempt to E-mail itself, ala Melissa. More information, and instructions for removing the virus can be found at Trend Micro.

For you people who don't understand computer programmer-ese, the "trojan/virus" means that this is a virus that disguises itself as something good, and infects your computer when you open it. Hence, "Trojan", for the famous trojan horse. All those "Pokey A, Pikachu worm", etc. were nicknames that programmers use for the virus. "ala Melissa" means it will automatically e-mail itself to all people in your "contacts" list. "autoexec.bat" is a file that your computer needs for various things, mostly DOS operations. If it is changed, your sound may become obscured, many of your DOS programs unusable, and a multitude of other things.
But wait, there's more;

Portions of hotmail's email server were infected by this vast email virus. Yahoo, Altavista, and Lycos email are also said to be potential targets. Click here to download the latest virus definitions including the definitions for the Pikachu Trojan virus. It doesn't matter what anti-virus software you have, that link can update it. Again, just make sure if you get any emails that say "Pikachu Pokemon" for the subject, immediately delete it and empty your recycling bin.

Good to know there's some defense out there, eh? But you should still be careful. Even if you have the newest virus software, never open a file you know is infected. Keep this in mind, everyone, you could certainly benefit from it.

Some of the Pokemon Stuff up

As the name implies, I got more pokemon stuff up (Tips & Tricks and walkthrough). Sadly, the walkthrough is for Red/Blue owners. Sorry yellow people! It took me a week or two to write, so you better appreciate it (shakes fist threateningly)! Most of the Tips & Tricks are for red/blue too, so you yellow owners are screwed again. I have art classes in the afternoons, so don't expect big updates for a while. (I usually sleep in till 10, eat breakfast, watch TV or play nintendo or gameboy, surf the net, and now I'll have to leave for Art Classes from 1-4, my usual time for surfing the net some more and making updates.) I'm also working on a frame-free version of this site, so I won't have a lot of spare time. (Cut back on my TV and Video Games? No way. I live for TV and video games!) So don't expect a lot of stuff any time soon. Ciao!

From now on, I'll try to update at least once a week. Well, I got the Adoption section up and running, and am working on the gold/silver section. I'll put it up anyways. I'm working on an "About Me" section, and it'll be up soon. I'll be adding some links, too. C-yas!
