The Tale of The Phoenix

Z's Chapter

"Zzzzz…. Zzzzzzz…"
I could hear Ash snoring in the other room. I was up. I couldn't stop thinking about this Phoenix character. It didn't sound so tough, but I knew not to judge a pokémon till I'd gotten the full picture. Ash's Pikachu was a perfect example. The little yellow mouse pokémon didn't look so strong. But I knew. Boy, I knew! The first time I met that thing I had reached out to pet it.
To say the least, that had been a BIG mistake.
Fzzzt.
Mewtwo came floating past my door, snapping me out of my memories. He opened my door, a blue ball of energy in his hand. When he saw I was already awake, the glowing ball dispersed.
*Good morning, Zaheera. Did you sleep well?*
"'Fraid not. I couldn't stop thinking about Phoenix!"
*Just wait. I'll wake Ash up, and then we can eat breakfast and leave for Celadon City!*
Mewtwo floated out my door, then I heard a creak, a loud exclamation from Ash, and a somewhat cruel laugh. Looked like Mewtwo had woken him up with a Psyshock again.

We Teleported to Celadon, expecting to meet the Phoenix there. Surprisingly, there was nothing. No Phoenix, no fight, no nothing! I was steamed. We had woken up at the crack of dawn 3 days in a row, fought death-defying aerial battles, and thoroughly exhausted ourselves for NOTHING?! Ash's expression mirrored my own.
Professor Oak's voice cut into our rage.
"Mewtwo, I know you don't like the Pokéball, but you MUSTN'T be seen! You're a fine prize for Pokemon collectors and thieves."
Mewtwo simply stared at him in fury.
Professor Oak stared back, equally furious.
Mewtwo sighed.
*Bring out the Pokéball.*
Mewtwo melted into a strange ball of red light and flew into the Pokéball.
"Good, now we can head into Celadon and ask the people there about Phoenix. They must know something about it," Oak said briskly.
"Yeah, It kind of DID destroy their entire city. I hope not. Brock would be so depressed if Suzie ended up buried under a pile of rubble," Ash said darkly.

PS: This and Chapter 4 used to be one chapter. That's why it is rather uneventful.
