*Ash, wake up!* Mewtwo jolted me awake with a blast of psychic energy.
"Who? What? Mewtwo! What's going on?" I mumbled.
*Don't you remember? We have to catch Ho-oh!*
"Now? At 3 in the morning?"
*We have to start early to catch it. Professor Oak said it only appears over Saffron City at dawn!*
"We have to go that far?"
*Do you want to lose the rarest pokemon on earth?*
"Okay, okay, you win. Let's go." I got out of my pajamas and pulled on my clothes as fast as I could and raced over to Professor Oak's lab. When I got there I found Z and Professor Oak waiting impatiently. Professor Oak urged us to hurry, told us to use Lugia to get there and shoved us outside. Instead of riding Lugia, Mewtwo teleported us there and we called Molter, Zap and Artie out posthaste, before we fell.
As we dropped onto their backs, Mewtwo told us that he sensed a pokemon nearby. I twisted around and, sure enough, there was Ho-oh! He attacked, but one blast of Mewtwo's Psychic KOed it. I was surprised, I thought it would have been stronger. As it fell, Z nudged Artie after it, speeding downward. Artie caught Ho-oh in his talons, and rose high into the air, though not without difficulty, as Ho-oh was heavy. Zap and Molter dove and helped support him upward. When we were high up, Z tossed out Lugia, jumped on his back, and Master Balled Ho-oh, and then caught the ball. She tossed out Ho-oh, who understood that she was its master and began a slightly discordant song, which seemed to hold a lot of meaning for Artie, Zap, Molter and Lugia, as they sheered away from him and flew away, leaving him looking stunned. Z speedily recalled Ho-oh, before he was too far away from the beam. As we reached Oak's lab Lugia swooped so fast that Z fell! Before anyone could do anything Ho-oh popped out of his master ball and caught Z on his back. This seemed to give Artie, Zap, Molter, and Lugia a new respect for him, as they formed an honor guard around him on his way down to earth. We all walked, jumped, floated or waddled into the lab where Professor Oak waited anxiously. When he saw Ho-oh he immediately walked over and examined him. Then he steped back and said,
"This Ho-oh is a Grass type. The only one. An outcast reaccepted." He grabbed the pokeballs that held Ho-oh, Lugia, Artie, Zap, and Molter and said,
"Well, you did it. Let's go. I'm coming when we go after Phoenix."
"WHAT?!"
*You don't have any pokemon, Professor!*
"Oh, yes I do, but you will have to wait to find out what ones they are."
